A store and forward network linking bulletin board systems from 1984, exchanging private netmail and public echomail conferences over nightly modem calls. Its structure paralleled Usenet's but ran on hobbyist microcomputers rather than Unix machines, and addressing used a numeric zone, net, and node form. Gateways passed traffic between the two networks. Still nominally alive with few nodes, but effectively historical.
