Retention measured for groups carrying encoded files, quoted separately because binaries consume nearly all of a provider's storage. A petabyte-scale spool is needed to hold a decade of binary posts, so this figure is the expensive one and the one marketing pages lead with. Binary retention below roughly 3,000 days makes older releases hard to complete without a second backbone.
