Breidbart Index

Also known as: BI

A formula devised by Seth Breidbart for scoring how heavily a set of substantively identical articles spams the network. Each copy contributes the square root of the number of groups it names, summed across all copies, so multi-posting scores far higher than one wide crosspost. A score above twenty was the conventional threshold at which canceling the articles was considered justified.
